Professional Goals & Associated Timeline

My professional goal as a dental hygiene student is to successfully complete my education and begin my career as a dental hygienist. My previous experience as a dental assistant allowed me to deepen my clinical skills while growing professionally through hands on experience and meaningful interactions with patients. I hope to build upon that experience in my career as a dental hygienist by continuing to learn while providing quality care. I also plan to remain actively involved in my community and use my ability to help bridge language and communication barriers between Korean-American patients and their dental care providers. Through these efforts, I hope to make dental care more accessible, comfortable, and inclusive for the patients I serve.
